i know about that, but a lot of the code is completely incompatible with what that requires.

That's already in the game! There's currently no UI to show that is in the game, but you can do ctrl+s to save to clipboard and ctrl+l to load from clipboard! (outdated info, its in the small menu aswell now, and shortcuts are: M to save and L to load)
